Our world's cultures are made up of countless myths, legends and cautionary tales spun by beings that used to explain the ways of the universe. This series delves into the ways these ideas have become interwoven with my own story and how anyone can find connection and knowledge through narratives that guided those that came lifetimes before us.

This painting depicts two massive waves swirling and colliding into each other against a solid black background as two figures float helplessly beneath it.

This shows a creature with a skull covering his most of his face while he rests after playing his guitar. He has massive auburn wings that fold inward and a long greenish tail with fins and flippers that go down the whole length of it. The tail twists and winds down past the edge of the page.

The Greek God. Dionysus, lays naked, alone in a solid black void beside a thick bush of grape vines that wrap around his forehead and fade into the darkness.

A massive female wolf stands defensively over two very small children admist the black void. Flying above them is a woodpecker, symbolizing the children's birth father, Mars, watching over from afar.

A figure of a decaying man seeps into the surrounding forest as a fox grieves in his arms. Behind them, an inky black background spanning beyond a pair of trees growing around them.

The Gorgon, Medusa, stands triumphant with a fishing net grasped in her hands. There's the terrified face of Posiedon trapped inside it and Medusa's sisters cry out at her feet, one of them holding up the dead body of an owl, symbolizing the side of the story where Athena has punished her.

A leafless jacaranda tree stands against the stark black background as a swathe of branches in twisting into the shape of hands helps a harrowed girl with long, blonde hair down from the tree and onto a marble bench. She wears an almost transparent toga that shows the scar on her stomach as it bleeds the purple color of the Jacaranda flowers.
